Description:

    Splinter stand for floor so called in Russia "Svetec", on the wooden two-foot support which has kept traces of using- burned places. On the top - forged manually splinter stand in the form of a core with departing pair loops and curls above. "Svetec" was used for keeping burning wooden stick, as the only one way of illumination of dwelling. Birch was usually used for material because it burned brightly and did not smoke. The inclination at 15-20 degrees was considered to be an optimum variant with which a splinter burned for 4-5 minutes. The unique, seldom kept variants of long ""Svetec"" were used with long wooden sticks in the big room. The original decision in a combination of the plastic alive form of ""Svetec"" and a wooden static support creates an extremely-real symbol of life, both fire, and stability of a home. Restored by Larusse specialists. The item in Larusse collection.
