Description:

    Towel of 1920s- "transitive" time from slavic archaic traditions of an embroidery and ornamentation of subjects of a life to propaganda and industrial symbolics. Presented towel combines ancient Russian proverb " I give to whom I love", the image of the Goddess of plenty and needleworks "Mokosh" and the image of Bicycles- a new mean of moving. These Bicyclists are represented traditionally in a line as it should be deers and men on horses. As a decor images of anchors and butterflies are used. Towel has the indication on the name initials of a woman-" Е K K " - which this unusual gift intended. The color scale of an embroidery is not traditional for Russian North too- grey and pink. So It's interesting not usual way of decoration, experimental Russian country design of 1920-s.
