French marble and bronze mantle clock.
Sculptural composition and bas-relief
tells about the Ancient Greek God of
Medicine- Asclepius. He was one of
Apollo's son. Asclepius was so good at
Medicine that he could he raise people
from death. The clock dial is framed
with the snake beating her own tail
(anciant symbol of cyclic and eternity
of life and civilization, symbol of
death and rising). Clock would be an
actual and interior present!
